Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say yes. I have both, the Netgear for cable modem and a 5g network and Airport Extreme and Timecapsule/Express for 5g/2.4g. Airport software is really easy to use but there is recent news that Apple may stop supporting Airports. I've had the Netgear for about 3 months and seems reliable and has an easy interface to configure/change settings. Some of the throughput tests I've seen suggest throughput and 5g range is better with Netgear.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was using an airport extreme for a number of years before making with switch and this hands down was much faster and had better coverage. I think apple is discontinuing the Airport program anyway.
