- Answer This unit will not support the phone part of the package. If however, you disconnect the phone service it will work fine for your internet service. I connacted Xfinity and change/upgraded my package eliminating the phone portion and increasing internet speed for about the same amount I was paying before.

QuestionWhy should I chose this product over the ARRIS SURboard model SBG6900-AcThey both seem like great products at basically the same price. What should be my deciding factor overall? In the home, I want to cover about 3500 sq. ft., about 7 Smart devices including tv's but, what about outside the home range? In some cases, 4 devices may be working at the same time, all Samsung.

QuestionCan you remove the stand from the bottom?I want to attach this to the back of a TV and I'm wondering if the stand can be removed, so the modem will fit flush (probably using velcro to attach it).

- Answer Yes the stand can be removed but I would not recommend flush mounting it to a TV as it could overheat without proper ventilation. It gets pretty warm on its own sitting on the stand.

- Answer It will work but you won’t get full speed. You want a DOCSIS 3.1 modem. Or a Gigabit certified modem.

- Answer My question to you. What is the price difference? I've always used a combo router/modem without issues. If you have a large # of wireless items. Buy a good router to handle them all. I have over 20 items on my Nighthawk 1900.
