“range issues ? Does this perform as well as a unit with external antennas? For example the NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Dual Band Wi-Fi Gigabit Router (R7000) is the same model number, yet this unit has 3 external antennas ... I like the idea of combining modem / router into one unit, but will this provide the same range ?”

• I had externals on my last router and I have not seen any difference with range.

• YES IT WORKS JUST AS AN EXTERNAL DOES I'M USING IT MYSELF AND IT HAS TOTAL 6 ANTENNAS INSIDE 3 FOR EACH CHANNEL

• This has better range than my Linksys triple antenna router/modem. Covers 3500 square foot two story house with no trouble. You'll be happy with this unit.

• Yes, it does perform the same as the unit with external antennas. I been using it now and remove my Nighthawk x4 router and haven't seem any speed drop.

• The range is rated the same, however you do not have the option to position the antennas so it is best to only use the modem on one floor.
