• It will work but you won’t get full speed. You want a DOCSIS 3.1 modem. Or a Gigabit certified modem.

• Yes, this should work with Xfinity. I have Xfinity though not at that speed and haven't had any problems. Comcast will ask for the model and IP address to set up the connection. With the model information they can definitely tell if it is compatible.
