“We installed this modem/router and my throughput speed from the ports in the back over ethernet are only 40 MB download 20 MB upload. With the wireless 5G I get 156 MB download 70 MB upload I had an IT company look at it and they cannot figure out . Help”

It sounds like the cable is at fault here. There is a possibility that the Ethernet cable you are using is slowing down the signal.
