No this unit is not compatible with Froniter Fios.

Yes, this will work on Fios. I am on Comcast/Xfinity now, but previously was on Frontier Fios for a year. This router worked great for both cable services. You should have no issues, and will save you money over the long run. You can also use other routers/WiFi gateways, but I am partial to Netgear products.
