“I purchased the following router. It works great as far as speed and connection, however the only downfall is my home security system no longer works.. I was told by Xfinity that I can only use their router in order for my system to work.. Is this true?”

I got this router before Xfinity came to install service at my house. It works great and has good range. The security system works as expected also. They set my system up with a small router for the security which is connected to the Netgear router and everything works like it should.
