You’ll have to talk to your cable company about it, I don’t see why it wouldn’t if you have live cable in the area you want to connect. If you get really desperate you could move you current modem or run your Ethernet through your house with a ridiculously long cord which I have seen done before esp when trying to play two xboxes in one house.
But yeah I think two modems will work.

I'm not sure but I do know that this modem/router combo covers quite a wide range. You might be able to just use this modem instead of having 2.
