• A:Answer I use Spectrum as an internet provider. My Spectrum site showed me a list of compatable Modems and this was on it. I expect your Xfinity will too. This modem has 4-ethernet inputs if you want to plug in directly. The modem is Capable of 960 Mb/second but remember, you have to BUY that high speed plan from your Xfinity provider.

• A:Answer Yes but I think optimum throttles the speed of 3rd party modems because my speeds don’t reach anywhere near what I pay for. I have gigabit internet and I barely break 100-200 on this modem. Whereas on there’s the average WiFi was 450mbps.

Q: QuestionI currently have NetGear26 and it does not reach from upstairs of a two story center hall colonial to the basement family room... even with an amplifier. Would this model, or any other model you might recommend, reach the family room two floors below?
