- Answer this modem has one Ethernet/rj45 port that is intended to go to a router or directly to a computer. You could choose to use it for voice instead but you would be without internet for other uses.

- Answer I currently am using this modem, NETGEAR CM1000 32X8 MODEM, for WiFi only as I too do not have cable TV. I also use the NETGEAR RAX48 AX5200 ROUTER. All I do is stream programs from the variious Apps i've downloaded onto my Sony Smart TV. With this combination, I have no issues streaming through Amazon Prime, Netflix and a whole host of other Apps. Easy, Peasy.

QuestionIs this Netgear cm1000 modem compatible with a Belkin N150 router? I do not need the fastest speeds; I do no gaming, only have 1 computer + one laptop - never used at the same time. Have Cox in AZ. Thanks.

- Answer It is not compatible with voice. We ran into this issue, though we never use our landline. You can either keep both modems (one for voice and one for internet), or you can remove voice.
