My brother has Verizon FIOS in his home. Contact Verizon to see if you can even use this router with their equipment and save all the stuff that came with the router you purchased. Making some assumptions, if you bought this router to extend coverage in your home: 1. I doubt that you can use a non-FIOS router with FIOS service. 2. You may want to purchase a less expensive router to use in bridge mode to extend the existing network to other areas without modifying the Verizon equipment. 3. The R7300 Netgear router uses powerline technology to drive the DST device. Whether that will work depends on your house power wiring.
