It did help my internet speed in the areas of the house that had spotty connection before.

The quality of the signal will improve which in turn will give you better and more consistent speeds. If you tested it before the extender and then again after the extender you might see speed increases because of my previous mention, but essentially you're trying to eliminate areas of your house that are dead zones because of range and signal strength that falls as the signal is required to pass through objects and range.

speed of wifi will get better... the antenna in this thing is much strong than most routers and will only help...not hurt... your signal

This is a reasonable question. No, the speed will not be increased but the range will be increased.
