Yes, but with charter I would use my own modem, cost effective and faster modem with better processor speed you can buy from market. Worth to pay extra. If whole neighborhood is using charter.

You use this in lieu of the Charter Wi-Fi box, you hook it up directly to the charter provided Modem 0 modem output to netgear router - plenty of outputs for any hardwired devices. Charter did not have one powerful enough for my needs.

yes, you can set this router up for wifi as well. 2-2.4ghz and 2-5ghz (1 and 1 for guest and 1-2.4 and 1-5 for users)
