• Yes, but with charter I would use my own modem, cost effective and faster modem with better processor speed you can buy from market. Worth to pay extra. If whole neighborhood is using charter.

• You use this in lieu of the Charter Wi-Fi box, you hook it up directly to the charter provided Modem 0 modem output to netgear router - plenty of outputs for any hardwired devices. Charter did not have one powerful enough for my needs.

• yes, you can set this router up for wifi as well. 2-2.4ghz and 2-5ghz (1 and 1 for guest and 1-2.4 and 1-5 for users)
