“This is great to hear all the good feedback, but I have a family and I’m just looking to get away from their internet. So my question is can I buy it for my self or do I have to replace the old provider that is already in the house? Please help”

This router would connect up to an existing modem for your cable, fiber, or DSL internet service provider. If you are looking to replace the modem and router, you would need a modem and router combo unit, or you would need to replace both the modem and the router. The type of modem you would need would be dependent on the type of internet service that you have.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Changing your router does not affect your provider!!! however, obviously your provider and location are most important things for internet speed! but yes, if you want to be away from their access you would need your own provider.
