Your Ping rate and lag are related to your router and internet modem. This switch will not improve those.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's not going to help with satellite internet much. Might improve the ping some, but it's going to depend more on your DL speeds. We got this to use with Cox Gigablast Fiber Optic internet and it does wonderful. but if your incoming modem to the satellite is bottle necked at certain speeds its not going to help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Since your on Satellite the only thing that will improve your ping is either an improvement done by the Satellite Internet Provider or getting / having access to Fiber, Cable or DSL in the area. Might improve network speeds in your house if you transfer a lot of data from PC to PC.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not really, satalite internet latency is just inherant to the data travel distance. Especially up load. One you receive data though... This switch is great for prioritizing and distribution.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well depends on what your using in the house currently but my guess dealing with Satellite Internet is that no you will not get a better ping associated with swapping to this or basically any device. Reasoning is the ping/lag issue is dealing with the communication between your dish to the satellite and back to the ground terminal to communicate to the rest of the web. Really only way of improving that is getting a DSL, Cable or Fiber connection. Now what it will do / can do is improve your local network performance if you have a lot of data moving around the network.
