You can start with a two pack and see how it works. It depends on several factors for connectivity. But once you are up and running with two, the app will show you your WiFi signal strength. I’m fairly sure two will cover. I have a 2800 sf home and use the older model and I get coverage in my backyard and front with two satellites.

Yes, as long as you put one satellite in/near a window close to the back yard.
