• You need to use a tablet or an actual hotspot device for your tv. The smartphones capacity is to small to support an entire tv.

• No real device you see when a router is needed to split the network and distribute it a long way, but like water if there is not enough the pump can not push the small quantity outward

• any netgear router will be sufficient to use for tv. it depends on your internet connection also
