• I don't understand what you mean by safe however this router will work as a replacement for another older one and it has basic security features that come with most routers.

• Why take a chance. When mine failed it messed up my entire system and we had to rebuild it from factory set.

• When he has a tantrum it will zap him between the eyes. This is not a toy. Why do you make it accessible to your children? Do you also put knitting needles next to electric outlets so he can experiment sticking them into the outlet to see what happens.
