Do you have to purchase Internet service from a provider or does netgear provide the service null

You will have to purchase a service provider Netgear will not provide it for you. If they started that option this router would be the cost of an arm or leg. Once you get a service provider this router is easy to set up and works good.

You need to purchase Internet service from a provider. Netgear doesn't offer service, but rather is the hardware through which your wireless Internet connectivity is delivered. They are product based, not necessarily service based. Hope this helps.

You have to purchase from a provider. The NetGear box simply handles distribution of the internet connection (provider will tell you, or rent you, the necessary modem to connect to their internet service).
