Most of your newer smart phones will see the 5Ghz band. When you go to look for the SSID and all you see is the 2.4 then the phone isn't compatible for 5Ghz most of your gaming systems can only see the 2.4 but most phones, tablets, and smart devices can see the 5Ghz

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.if your iPhone supports the 5G radio, you can. I suspect the earlier iPhones didn't come with 5G supported. Check the SSID you entered with 5G appended to the end. Remember that spaces count as characters.
