Eliminating the coaxial cable means you can use almost any router with FiOS internet instead of the one they force you to rent from them. Simply have Verizon turn the FiOS ONT Ethernet port on. This will allow you to have coaxial free internet in your house.

Yes it should. I do not see a problem as to why it wouldn't.

It should. It's just a matter of how you configure it. If Verizon has a modem/router combo you'll set it out as like an extension of that router. Otherwise, it can do its own routing if all you have is a modem
