Across the street there is free public internet. I can access it for most browsing, but I would like a stronger signal, will this do that? Between my data plan and public wifi, this could potentially save me some money...thanks so much.

Well it depends how strong the signal is. Do you have a login you have to use after connecting to the wireless? If not you can bridge the connection but it's difficult to explain here, but you can easily find a YouTube video on how to bridge from wireless to wireless. It works easier if it's open.

It supplies a great signal if you have a good internet provider.

If you have an internet service this will provide you with a more secure connectioñ. Most free Wi-Fi, like at airports make.it easy to hack you.

I don't think that it will. What you should try is a wireless repeater. Linksys has some good ones that are pretty easy to configure from a smart phone.
