QuestionYour description says Gigabit LAN, but your specs sections say 10/100 Ethernet wired. Wouldn't Gigabit LAN require 1000 Ethernet wired? If so, which is correct - Gigabit LAN or 10/100? I'd like to be able to handle 250 Mbit/s download speeds from my ISP).

- Answer I have 60Mb internet service *only*. Works fine with this modem. You will need a router too. I have Motorola model MB7220. Works fine for internet. You may need more souped up devices depending on what you use the internet for. I have the basic models of router and modem. Xfinity has a (loooooong) list of compatible modems/routers for internet *and* cable on their website. However, there are plenty of compatible models that are not on the list. Check with a live chat agent if in doubt.
