• If you are already getting a signal, however weak, it will definitely work. After set up, place the extender in a wall outlet mid-way between the office and the X box.

• Yes, this should help your connect. There are no wires just program your router and plug the device in the basement. The set up is easy.

• All you have to do is plug it in to the wall and set it up from your computer. Make sure to keep it away from any pipes and water. The pictures and instructions in the box are very helpful. I hope you purchase the product. Have a great new year and enjoy the new connection. No wires are required just a working plug outlet.

• No wires needed, plug it into an outlet somewhere between your base router and where you want to use a device. Connect it to the network by accessing it by IP address(see instructions), then attach to it as an extension to MyNetwork_Ext, or you can name it to whatever you want. Works like a charm, I will carry it on trips with me everywhere...

• in my opinion you should be looking at the extenders like the Model: EX6150 AC1200 WiFi Range Extender ro Model: EX6200 AC1200 WiFi Range Extender or Model: EX7000 AC1900 Nighthawk WiFi Range Extender. specially if you're going to do gaming you can go to netgear website you go to their products and than to extenders and i'll show you how it works
