“Will this work in a dorm room using the existing college network that is available? The WiFi is terrible in the room. Laptops require an Ethernet cable and the WiFi access is intermittent when using a mobile phone.”

It should work. My internet box is in the basement and I placed the little box in my dining room so I could get WiFi on my deck. If you buy it and it doesn’t work you can return it to the store. I hope this helps

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It would depend on where the main Router was located. If the Wi Fi is within a reasonable distance, yes. My router is about 75 ft away, on the floor above. (And this also has an Ethernet plug-in spot....)
