Don't know about your vehicle's screen, but you can pair the main camera to your smartphone and see what the camera shows there.

I have this rear facing add-on camera but it's mainly for the interior cabin view and a little bit of the side window and rear window view. The other rear facing add-on, the telephoto one, has a far back view to see through the rear windows for views behind the car. The main unit display can display the rear view on the 3-inch screen (only shown on part of the screen as most of the screen shows the front view). However, if you want a real good view of the what's behind the car, you will probably need to install a rear view camera mounted on the rear window for the best rear view. Good luck.
