The BNVR8-122-8L supports up to 12 total cameras, so you can add up to 4 additional compatible wired IP (PoE) cameras to the available channels. For the best experience, we recommend adding Night Owl PoE cameras that are designed to work with the BNVR8 series to ensure full compatibility and access to features such as motion detection, two-way audio, and deterrence functions where supported. Regarding storage, this system comes with a 2TB hard drive pre-installed, but the NVR supports an upgrade of up to 8TB total storage capacity. While some retailers may offer different configurations, the BNVR8-122-8L is typically sold with a 2TB drive. For recommendations on the exact camera models that are currently compatible with your recorder, please visit the Night Owl Support Site or contact our support team via chat or phone. We'd be happy to help you choose the best cameras for your setup.
