Box says it does. I tried setting up and accidentally removed device and now it wont let me set it up. So i have not verified for myself yet. My old Nightowl recorded 24/7 as to why I purchased new ones from Nightowl

You have the ability to select continuous recording or activity based recording in the system settings. You also have additional controls like sensitivity to trigger alerts/recordings and other features to add control to the system. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
