No, this product will work without internet. Internet is required if viewing remotely.

As far as I can tell it only needs the Internet if you want updates.

hook up hdmi and vga on tv is not require internet but for computer and wireless mobile need to use internet. router.

If you want to stream it to your phone I believe so
