“I purchased a lorex 4 camera system some time ago. The app malfunctioned and the alert function no longer works. I was told by lorex tech service the app would not be updated. Will night owl pull the same thing on their system”

Doubtful this would happen. If ever you cant see the camera from the night owl connect app. just reset the dvr.
