I have the D7000 with the 50mm f/1.8 and a variety of other lenses. Most of my shooting is outdoors, but when I go inside the 50mm goes on. It is an amazing lens, but there are times in small rooms where I would like to have the wider 35mm. It depends on how you shoot. I looked at my EXIF information on several photos to see which range I use most often before I made my purchase, and I would recommend you do the same. The bokeh on the 50mm is beautiful, but the 35mm can be less than flattering with certain background lighting. Do a little more research on the web before buying either.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have both of these lenses, and I love them both. I really like the 35mm f/1.8 for indoor shots. It's my go-to lens for random, everyday shots at home. You won't be disappointed with either lens.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes its a prime, I own both the 50mm and the 35mm. 50 is built better but images are of similar quality, a little wider with the 35mm
