Its a great lens but I am missing the regular fast prime for the indoor and night outdoor landscapes. I am confused on choosing the DX lens 35mm f/1.8 or the FX lens 50mm f/1.8D. The autofocus would work on both as D7000 does have the in built AF motor. Please suggest.”

I have the D7000 with the 50mm f/1.8 and a variety of other lenses. Most of my shooting is outdoors, but when I go inside the 50mm goes on. It is an amazing lens, but there are times in small rooms where I would like to have the wider 35mm. It depends on how you shoot. I looked at my EXIF information on several photos to see which range I use most often before I made my purchase, and I would recommend you do the same. The bokeh on the 50mm is beautiful, but the 35mm can be less than flattering with certain background lighting. Do a little more research on the web before buying either.
