The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR is an amazing super-telephoto lens that will allow you to capture galaxy, lunar and planetary images. For wide sky images that help you capture star trails and the milky way you would want an ultra-wide prime or telephoto lens and a telescope.
