“which is the better camera, nikon p950, or the nikon p1000? Price is not the issue. Looking for performance, quality and no issues with mechanics. pls advise which on would be the better choice. I am choosing because of the zoom capability. Thank you”

In my opinion, the P950 is the better camera. I currently own one and I owned a P1000. The P950 is the newer model, it actually feels better in your hand. You really don't gain much with the extra length of the P1000 except for it's heavier and it just feels big and clunky. Both have quality results, I just prefer the P950.
