The Nikon D3300 DSLR camera is powered by a Nikon EN-EL14 or Nikon EN-EL14a Rechargeable Li-ion battery. The battery takes approximately an hour and 50 minutes to charge and should be charged fully before using it for the first time. When the charge is complete the indicator light on the charger will be a solid color.
