QuestionAre both of the lens in this kit the new VR II lens?It doesn't say if they are in the description but in the image you can see the VR II written on the lens (around the glass). This is very confusing and want to know before committing to buy.

- Answer Yes, this D3300 2 lens kit, model#13473, comes with the D3300, 2 lenses, and the camera bag. Each lens comes with both a front cap (LC-52) and rear cap. The D3300 comes with a body cap, strap, Rubber Eyecup (DK-25), EN-EL14a Rechargeable Li-ion Battery, MH-24 Battery Charger, USB cable and AV cable.

- Answer This is the perfect entry camera into DSLR photography. The camera can be set on AUTO and you can get great shots. You can progress further into the manual exposure modes as your knowledge grows. Plus, the camera take Full HD video to get amazing video of the Coliseum or if you decide to take a drive along the Amalfi Coast!

- Answer It really depends on what you're wanting to take pictures of. I'm not very versed in the iPhone 6s features but I do know about the nikon 3300. I high doubt a phone camera, even an iphone, being at the same level as a dslr. I use this camera for my photography business. I specialize in landscape and portraits. The details I'm able to pick up are simply stunnning. The focus is so easy to use and allows for such impeccable focus on my subjects to be put into my photography. Again I haven't looked up the specs on the iPhone 6s but what you should focus on comparing is the megapixels, iso, and shutter speed. If you're serious about pictures I say go with this camera you won't be disappointed.

- Answer The D3300 uses the Nikon EN-EL14a rechargeable Li-ion battery. An EN-EL14a battery and a Nikon MH-24 charger are supplied with the D3300.

- Answer The lenses will have soft cases as well as lens caps and body caps for protection when not in use. The camera will come with a one year Nikon Limited Warranty. The lenses will also have a one year limited warranty, plus 4 years of an extended warranty from Nikon. The items in this D3300 kit from Best Buy are new product.

- Answer The two lenses in this kit serve two different purposes. The main difference between the two of them is their focal length. In other words, how far you can zoom in on your subject, if that is what you are interested in doing. The 18-55 is great for portraits of people, pets, etc. You can, in addition, take great pictures of flowers and other subjects, close-up. The 55-200 is great when you want to photograph sports or any action that you need to zoom in from a distance. In addition to sports, the 55-200 is great for photographing wildlife as you can be at distance far enough away as to not disturb them. - Answer You might want to check out the NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G lens available for purchase at Best Buy. It gives you nice wide angle, fast 1.8 aperture for great lower light shooting without use of flash, and it is reasonably priced!

- Answer There is definitely an advantage of the built-in wifi, the way the adapter plugs in is kind of horrendous, in the fact that it sticks out far, and causes the USB flap to stay open. I'd probably use my adapter more if it was better designed and the flap didn't have to stay open. However, I'm not sure it'd be worth how much ever difference in price for the next model up that includes built-in wifi($300?) .

QuestionI've used Sony equipment for years and it is time to upgrade.I'm curious to try Nikon. Anyone made this switch and have feedback? Sony has a bit of a reputation for more complete saturation and that has served me well in the greeting card industry.

- Answer The Nikon D3300 DSLR camera has a variety of filters for black and white options. One option you could use is found in either P, S, A, or M mode in the Menu under "Set Picture Control". In "Set Picture Control" Monochrome can be adjusted and saved before taking the image. Another option would be in the Retouch Menu where you can create a copy of any already un-edited image in Black-and-white, Sepia, or Cyanotype. To learn more about the options for monochrome and other various filter options please check with Nikon Support.

- Answer The D3300 is an excellent choice for a beginning DSLR that will give you great action shots and close-up food shots. You have to be aware - as your skill progresses - you might want to get a dedicated close-up lens - like the AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G lens available at Best Buy. That will get you amazing close ups as it is a dedicated lens for close up (can be used for portraits as well) photography. You will get - even better - clarify and true to life reproduction than the enclosed kit lenses.
