How do you get the nija to start? I have the old style not the new button choices the pictures show. null

Once the lid is properly on and sealed, hit the power button on the left. It will not engage unless the cover is on correctly. Then you select the function (Button 1,2 or 3) and voila. If your're using the cups then similar but in that case you must use button 4.

My girlfriend had that issue the third time using. I asked her to unplug it, replug, then try again. She's never had a problem again. Try plugging into a different outlet. Hope that helps.
