• Yes it can! I use this to make my nephews raspados. The blades are very strong!

• We are happy to inform you that this blender does have Total Crushing Technology. It can certainly be used to crush ice without damaging the blades. With this being said, we recommend that you use ice fresh from the freezer. Do not use partially melted ice. Ice that has had time to melt a little is less effective as it becomes melted into one block. Start with a few pulses and then go to a continuous blending cycle. For best results, use the HIGH manual setting.
