Most games will be too hard, but the Mario game has some mini games included that he could push the buttons for. Mariokart has an easy mode but you still need decent coordination to control the cars. Monopoly would probably be fun for him as well. I don't think there are any games he would be able to play without ANY help at all but these are some he might be able to contribute to at least.

A game like Mario Odyssey has two player mode where his father would do most of the control and your grandson could help out. I think at 3 though it may be a little too difficult still but it is something he could grow into.
