How stupid does one have to be to buy this? null

I would not say stupid - but if you have a lot of Internet of Thing devices like smart plugs and home controllers that might not have security then this will provide protection they might not otherwise have.

It’s not very hard. If you can set up an email account and email someone you can do this!
