Yes it us in the Google playstore fircandrouf TV You can al sd o sideload the shield with many as pps outside the playstore. Purchase a r8ii keyboard track pad keyboard.

According to the Direct TV Now website you should be able to install the Direct TV Now app on your phone/tablet and cast to the Shield TV since it has built-in Chromecast. It doesn't look like they have an Android TV app so you can't install directly on the Shield.

No you cannot. You will have to get an APK of it and install on the device. That’s the only option to use it for DirecTV now.
