Nvidia has been making the most powerfull Android streaming device since 2015 and its still Top Dog for the formidable future.If you know what your doing you can make this device do wonderfull things .It comes stock with your standard apps like netfix ,hulu and other run of the mill apps .It also comes loaded with a modified google Playstore with limited apps.But if you know what your doing by doing a little research like youtubing nvidia shield tv youll find out this device is capable of so so much.#1 sideloading apps not available in the limited playstore.This device does not include a web browser like google or chrome but by sideloading your options are limitless.#2 iptv allows you to basically have a cablebox at your fingertips.#3 Cloud gaming .Nvidia has been known for there High End Gaming Graffix Cards for computers and with the Shield you can play endless amount of new games or install emulators and play litterally thousands of old school games.I could go on and on about this device but then half the fun is learning for yourself.Before you purchase or after do some research on youtube there are tons of really good videos on ther to show you the way.Hope this heps someone goodluck.By the way i own 3 of these .And have been using since 2015.

The Nvidia Shield beats anything steaming out here in any device for me. I have Roku’s and Firesticks on every TV in my house but this Nvidia product is fast and updates like no other ! So good I got 4 of them on sale !!

I was extremely excited to get this home and installed because of all the reviews I read about it. It did not disappoint me one bit. Welllll ok the remote needs a new design IMO but that’s a very minor detail to get over. It’s easy to plug in & start using or if you are more tech savvy the adding of software etc is also easy as pie. If you are on the edge of buying this or another TV box this one is the best one on the market right now for my needs. I bought a roku stick plus & while it does the job for my bedroom tv it doesn’t do anything close to what the shield can do. The initial price is quite a bit more than other boxes however this is one of those you get what you pay for deals. Granted if you don’t game then this may be a bit overkill. I like the fact that I can expand the memory if needed. Again great product & easy set up but a little on the pricey side.

I decided to get this version over the one that includes the gaming remote as I purchased it for 4K video streaming and not for gaming. The box is fast and snappy and everything runs smooth. One minor issue I was able to resolve was that Netflix video defaults to 5.1 sound so if you don;t have a 5.1 sound system you need to change the setting in Netflix every time you start a movie or show. The workaround is in the Shield's setting. Change the sound from surround to Stereo and the issue goes away.

easy to set up and works quickly. I have much to learn about what it can do, but streams very well. Only 4 stars because of the price.

I've been a cord cutter for almost 4 years. I started with a G Box, then a Xiaomi Mi box. I finally made the jump to the Nvidia Shield when it went on sale and I am so glad I did. The G Box had to be hard reset every few days from just freezing up and being non responsive. I have had not one single issue with my Shield. It's extremely fast, very simple setup and did I mention that it's fast? The Android TV interface is clean and minimalistic. USB 3.0 x 2. 16 gb storage and 3gb Ram Actually started playing a couple of games and I can't believe how good they look! Yes it's an expensive box, but it's so worth it! Flawless!

The Nvidia Shield TV is the most powerful and versatile streaming box on the market. This is especially impressive considering it’s almost two years old since last refresh. If you have a 4K TV, then this is a must have as it is far superior to the built-in apps on smart TVs currently and it’s android based. Aside from 4K streaming options, it’s can act as a Plex server and can run emulators very well.

I have avidly been a supporter of Google's attempts to take over the living room. i was one of the first to but into Google TV with my Sony NSZ-GT1, and it was good for what it was in 2011. When Android TV came onto the market I was thrilled and quickly bought a Nexus Player. Then earlier this year I bought a 4k HDR panel and decided to upgrade my STB as well. The Nvidia Shield TV is a fantastic machine for what it is capable of, not only do i have access to all the media apps I could ever wish for, I can also connect a NAS and emulate any game made before 2006. The UI is the usual ATV experience but with a bit more speed thanks to the K1. And the inclusion of HDR10 and Dolby Atmos support made this a machine that I use almost 95% of the time my panel is active. The issue I have with the player is that it is run on ATV a service that is treated as second class when compared to Roku, Amazon Fire, and Apple TV. Becasue of low market saturation it has never gotten consistent updates from third party apps (the Hulu app still uses the old UI, even the Switch runs the new UI). But I can not fault lacking third party support for a great streamer. This is the best STB money can buy and it is capable of almost anything that can be thrown it's way!

Way faster than Amazon Fire TVs. The only Android box that can handle 1gig speeds. You won’t be disappointed. Would have liked it to have kept the micro SD slot from 2015, but thumb drives work. Kodi app works great ;-)

So this is the 2nd Nvidia I've purchased. The first one is 2 years old. The newer version is identical as far as software goes but is a tad smaller in size from what I can tell. This is without a doubt the best 4k streaming device out right now. I love Apple Tv but it doesn't touch this thing in performance. I used the first one as a media server with a 2TB drive connected to it for storing movies and music. It's plenty fast enough to handle the task. It runs Kodi and Plex

The Nvidia shield is the best streaming box I have used, bar none. I have used a lot of different boxes, from Apple, Roku, and Amazon. The Nvidia Shield has given me the smoothest experience so far, I believe due to the processing power. This thing is fast. Apps open instantly, video streams in 4K from the start, and nothing ever hangs. While there are cheaper alternatives available, the shield is the best there is, and I believe it to be worth the added cost.

Finally was able to pick up the device on sale, It works great I use it for mainly streaming TV. I am able to to put almost everything that all my other streaming devices have on them. Just wish there was a better remote to go with this though that is my only gripe. Overall I am happy with it nothing much else to review on it does have faster response than my other devices I go have a Mi Box which I still use from time to time along with my Apple TV and Roku and Amazon box . But this one is much smoother and faster response. I have this Ethernet connected have not tested WiFi stability though. Wish the price was lower than what it is glad I got it one sale. I would recommend this one to anyone looking for a streaming device.

Nvidia Shield Streaming and Gaming console This is the best streaming box by a long way. Extra cost means a better product. I have a couple of android box’s and this is the best by a long way. Easy to use for all streaming as well as a gaming. I recommend this android tv box if you are looking to upgrade. I love the built apps and lots of options to disable or stop apps too. It does what it's supposed to do as described.

Works excellent in combination with my 1080Ti powered gaming pc and my 4k tv. Couch gaming has never looked better, and its super easy to swap back to my pc monitor. All the android goodness included as well. The remote's build quality is excellent, but is slightly uncomfortable to hold, but that's just me being picky.

This thing is the fastest streaming device I've ever used, and I've tried many of them. It's super fast and very easy to use but you'll have to look up the controls because they are confusing at first. One thing I couldn't find listed anywhere was how to show all the apps that are open but it's just a double tap on the right circle button. Once open you can close any open apps or go back to them. Unfortunately most that are open just reopen and you lose your place. But then again this thing is fast, super fast so that's a non issue. The other thing this will do is stream in the best quality available easily. I've tried watching shows on streaming services with other devices and they all seem to have hangups on what quality can be supported. This bad boy will stream immediately at the best quality your internet will allow. I do have my device connected to my steam account on my PC and it works wonderfully and pretty much the same as a steambox except one feature. It only supports one controller at a time. But the included controller is good. Also this thing has Chromecast built in and that is awesome. Storage space is a non issue as well because you can easily add permanent storage. Overall it's a solid device. I sure hope they support it for years to come.

The Nvidia Shield is the best of the best when it comes to streaming. It's fast, easy to use, and great support. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to upgrade from any other streaming device, you won't be disappointed. Video streaming will only expand in the near future, this will be a great investment.

I love it had fire tv box but this is 100% better fast speed and good quality pictures and good gaming device

Best streaming device I’ve used hands down. Came across some good deals on eBay and stuff but with such a high price tag I didn’t wanna take the chance on being disappointed so I just opted for retail. Though the way this thing performs is enough to soften the blow of such a high retain price. I’d say skip all the other devices, bite the bullet and enjoy the ride.

The Nvidia Shield Tv is one of the top video streamers. It works well out of the box and is easy to set up, though to get the best performance you need to add KODI from the app store. The remote is functional, though it's very sparse. If you need a great streaming device for personal media or mainstream apps like netflix/hulu this will do everything you need.
