great picture, very economical, I love it,takes very little space,its easy to install ,just download plug and play.

If I could give this more than five stars I would. I have had a Firestick and an H96 Pro Plus before this and I was beginning to think that streaming was not going to be a good way to see movies. They stopped while playing and generally did not work well. The Shield is like driving a Ferrari after driving a Pinto. It is unbelievably fast and works perfectly. Don't waste your money buying the others just because they are cheaper. The Shield is worth every penny.

This is the best box for streaming TV and playing games. This product is a little on the expensive side, but in the long run worth every cent. no buffering since I've started using this. love it.

I have been using media players for a long time, well before Android TV came out. I also used the Nexus player for a few years before I bought this. This is expensive compared to the $50 used Nexus player I had, which served me well. However, the Shield works much better in performance and reliability so far. The only issue is that the remote is not the greatest in that the volume control doesn't work too well. I also had issues replacing the button battery and had to RMA the remote within warranty. Nvidia was very good about the replacement. I use it for Prime video, Netflix, etc. and some games, occasionally. I also paired it with an Android have controller which also worked well. In general I am very happy with it.

I purchased 2 of these for our house and we just love the product. We don’t game on the shield but love it for tv and apps. Lots of games to play but we already had a ps4 so we use that.

Previous to the shield I had a fire TV. Great devices but no comparison to the shield. The shield is faster, more customizable...load whatever app you want. The things I wish it could do is hdr on YouTube and Dolby vision on Netflix. For DV I use my smart TVs Netflix. Those are so minor I honestly could care less as I love the shield. Plus there are constant updates to get it running smooth and adding features

I've gradually upgraded my streaming "boxes" from the Amazon Fire Stick to the Fire TV to now this. If you've cut the cord (i.e. canceled cable) you need a streaming option for your TV. Whether it be a PC or dedicated unit like the nVidia Shield, you only need internet and subscription service of choice (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) The Shield is very fast and is a full Android OS. If you're used to the fire stick or other Amazon streaming devices, they are an android platform, but has some Android functionality removed to make the the whole package more affordable to the masses. NVidia did not do that. You get a 4k capable, geforce experience ready, game streaming device. If you're looking for the best, all in one streaming device, this is the best bang for the buck. The next step up would be a mini-PC that has more overhead, maintenance and setup involved. Now you're probably wondering why the 4-stars if this is so great. In my experience with this, I have noticed a reoccurring issue with my particular 4k LG TV. If I happen to turn on the shield before I turn on the TV, I get an error when playing some videos. Has something to do with the HDMI "handshake" that happens between the device and the TV. Turning on the TV BEFORE the Shield, no error. If the error does happen, I have to turn the TV off then on again, and the error goes away. I wish I could only take half a star away but alas, no can do on BB's reviews. Hope this was helpful!

I bought the device to replace an aging FireTV and it's been a wonderful upgrade. This thing is quick and does everything I want. Loading apps was simple. I have yet to connect a harddrive for streaming and set up the video gaming functions but it's nice to know they are there. It's on the wifi in our house and so far no hiccups streaming HD movies. We use plex, emby, kodi, netflix, amazon and youtube.

The Nvidia Shield is the best thing going if you can afford to purchase this device and you're interested in a streaming Entertainment System you can't go wrong with this is very powerful has good capacity for space and streams movies TV shows it even has its own games and you can also play games from the Google Play Store it is a very nice device and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

This product works as described...IMO...it is one of the best streaming devices available...Excellent product.

This Shield TV is a fantastic streaming device! Very powerful, can handle multitasking, and takes on 4k streaming like a champ. My only complaint is the remote, it is not very user friendly. I replaced it with a Harmony remote which worked out better, I can use it for all my devices. All in all, if you are looking for a great streaming device, go for it!

I know a lot of people think of this device for gaming, but after stuttering through Netflix on the built in app on either my TV or Ps4 for the last time I thought I'd give this try. It's sleek, super fast and zips through Plex and Netflix with ease. Its easily the best sreaming experience I've had. My only complaint is the remote which seems oddly designed.

Blows my old apple TV out of the water. Lots of great apps, able to sync my content through Kodi, looks slick. Great product, exactly what I needed.

I have a 2015 Samsung TV in my bedroom with a sluggish "smart hub" that didn't have many of the apps I wanted and doesn't seem to get updated by developers anymore so this sleek and fast performing Shield device is the perfect remedy to make the TV a joy to use again. Highly recommended! Will get another for the living room since it works so well.

The most power and quality for your price. The 4K video is better than all other streaming devices.

Got this for Christmas gift from the jolly ole st nick. Kept the family busy in a tournament Christmas afternoon! Love it!

I have been using several different android TV boxes over the years, however they do not compare with the Nvidia Shield which is a beast in my opinion. I would highly recommend the Nvidia Shield even though it cost a bit more. I am looking forward to purchasing another one sometime in the very near future.
