You are going to have a bad experience playing this without a good computer/graphics card. I'm sure it can be done, but in my experience, without one, you will likely lag, and lag will cause nausea.

Please try again later.I can't say which off the shelf computer would be best, although, the instruction specifically state that the Oculus Rift is not meant for childeren. I have an adult friend with a smaller head, and the headset barely fits on head. The headset may be too large for an 11 year old.
