• Depending on the games you play you may need different controllers, I bought the Xbox controller with my oculus for some games and it works perfectly

• For some games you will need an XBox controller. For the 360 controller you may need an additional wireless adapter to connect to your PC.

• For some games maybe you should need it but is up to you, most of the games use the Oculus touch controllers. The Rift comes with 6 games and none of them needs the xbox controller.
