If you have enough USB 3.0 Ports then yes. If you have a docking Station that would help. My recommendation is look at Windows Mix Reality Headsets. Works similar to Oculus Rift, but uses less ports and Hardware Requirements are lower. Acer, Lenovo, Dell, HP, Samsung all have brand new Headset. Very Important must have Windows 10 Pro with new update "Fall Creator". Which adds VR capable Headsets to OS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have that exact laptop, I also have a nicer desktop which I play the Oculus and game on. Technically yes....if you run the steam VR test the Dell 15 Gaming will pass, however, I think it would come with some compromises. My desktop runs a gtx1060 6gb i5....I bought the Dell laptop because for my business purposes and software it is comparable to my desktop...but VR is different. You would need to run games on lower settings and because of the 'screen door effect' already present in VR, I see this as a larger compromise. Also the 1050ti has 4gb memory i believe...in VR, that extra memory has a big impact. Also, your processor takes more of a beating. IT will put ALOT of strain on the Dell Laptop, and your fans will be SCREAMING trying to cool the CPU and GPU. This is just my opinion, like I said the laptop will pass the steam VR test, but my desktop gets an A+ and my laptop gets a solid C or C-. But as the saying goes C's get degrees. I would really make sure you can return if not happy.
