Included is the app quill a VR painting program. There is also the app medium for 3d modeling. Facebook has an app called facebook spaces for vr Facebook meetings. Fun stuff!

Theres a "game" called Google Tilt Brush where you just draw and create things. Theres and app that puts your pc in a Virtual Huge Screen and allows you to use your pc on a 110" virtual TV and browse the web like you normally would, theres a bunch more like watch movies and such.

Other uses are less common, though developers are exploring them. There are some apps for social interaction, apps allowing one to watch movies in a virtual theater. There are even some programs allowing one to paint in a 3d space. However, at this point in time, I'd say that the games are the main reason to get one. If someone got one with little intention to play games, they would most definitely be disappointed with it.
