I didn’t read your first question so I may be missing some context, but I’ll try and answer your question. First off, this receiver is one component of an “AV system.” This receiver takes audio and video signals from the different peripheral devices connected to it and sends the video signal to the TV and decodes the audio signal and plays it through the speakers that you connect to this receiver (Speakers sold separately of course). Now then... There are different options of course for devices that you can use to stream Netflix or Hulu (like Apple TV, Xbox, Chromecast, Roku, Firestick, etc...) But whatever your setup... just plug the streaming device using an HDMI cable into an HDMI “input” connection on the back of this receiver and then connect your television to the receiver using an HDMI cable going from an HDMI “input” on your TV to the HDMI “output” on the receiver and you’re done. The video will show on your television while the audio will play from the speakers connected to the receiver. Now if you are streaming directly from your smart TV on the other hand... All you need to do is connect your receiver and TV using the HDMI input port on your TV with the “ARC” label on it. That “ARC” (ARC means “Audio Return Channel”) connection will send audio from your TV to the receiver. Otherwise you can also connect your television to this receiver using an optical connection (S/PDIF) if your TV has it. Either of these connections will play sound from your TV through the receiver. Hope that helps clear some things up. You can reply to this response if you still have a question and I’ll try and get back to you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Streaming options built in are audio only, to stream video you will need to use another source. The main HDMI out is ARC compatible so if you have a smart TV you can have the audio go to the receiver with the same cable connecting the TV to the receiver for video pass through.
