• Yes, in the setup you choose which setup/speakers that you have. Then plug in the setup microphone to get the correct levels.

• I am currently using this in a 5.1 config and I am very happy with how it sounds. You have the flexibility to choose how many speaker to use with it.

• Yes it can. During setup, it will ask you what kind of setup you have and where your speakers are located at in the room. It even gives an example of what each speaker configuration looks like. Very simple.
