Yes. Should work fine if you have the proper inputs on your receiver

I don't know why not. If the old one used RCA cables, this one does too. It also has connections for coaxial cable and optical cable, but I used my old RCA cables. A new set does come with the player and there is a connection for a remote control as well as a wireless remote device included.
