• I haven't tried to custom program this unit. But, my guess is no because I couldn't find a program button.

• Yes, By using Memory playback on page 22 of the manual. On page 23 it describes how to delete the last song on the play list. If this doesn't cut it for you, page 20 of the manual describes how to cancel the next selection using your remote or front panel buttons.
